Chevrolet Trax: Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation
The RKE transmitter may work up to 30 m (98 ft) away from the vehicle.
Other conditions can affect the performance of the transmitter. See Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System
The following may be available:
(Lock): Press to lock all doors
or, if equipped, the locking fuel door.
The hazard warning lamps may flash and/or the horn may sound to indicate locking. See "Remote Lock Feedback or Remote Unlock Light Feedback" under Vehicle Personalization.
If the driver door is open when
is
pressed and Unlocked Door Anti
Lock Out is enabled through vehicle
personalization, all doors will lock
and then the driver door will unlock.

Pressing may also arm the alarm
system. See Vehicle Alarm System
(Unlock): Press to unlock the
driver door, all doors or, if equipped,
the locking fuel door. See "Remote
Door Unlock" under Vehicle
Personalization

Pressing 
will disarm the alarm
system. See Vehicle Alarm System
(Vehicle Locator/Panic
Alarm): If equipped, press and hold
briefly to initiate vehicle locator. The
exterior lamps flash and the horn
chirps three times.
Press and hold 
for at least
three seconds to sound the panic
alarm. The horn sounds and the
turn signals flash for 30 seconds,
or until 
is pressed again or the
key is placed in the ignition and
turned to ACC/ACCESSORY or
ON/RUN.

The RKE transmitter buttons will not operate when the key is in the ignition.

transmitter.
Remote Vehicle Start
The vehicle may have this feature
that allows you to start the engine
from outside the vehicle.
(Remote Vehicle Start): This
button will be on the RKE
transmitter if the vehicle has remote
start.
